Papal Blessing Tour

Rome is particularly beautiful on Sunday morning. It is the most important day for the Catholic World Capital. People go to mass, prepare lunch for the family, go out to meet friends and follow their favourite team to the Stadium. Our tour starts from the Pantheon, the best preserved tempel of Ancient Rome. Its dome was the world largest in concrete until the XIX century. Inside, you will visit the tomb of the painter Raphael, Queen Margherita of Savoy and King Victor Emmanuel II.

The tour continues to the ruins of the Thermal baths of Nero and the Church of St. Louis. The church contains famous artworks by Caravaggio and Domenichino. You will walk by the Italian Senate House and the old University of Rome. Here you will have the chance to taste what is considered the best coffee in Rome.

Next stop is Piazza Navona, probably the most charming square of Rome,w ith the imposing Four- Rivers Fountain created by Bernini. Here you will visit the skyrocketing church of St. Agnes.

Your guide will show you the foundations of the Ancient Stadium built by Emperor Domitian in 96 A.D. Then, she will take across the Tiber River to the House of the Italian Supreme Court of Justice, the largest travertine palace in Italy.

The tour continues to Castel St. Angelo and the Angels' Bridge. The Castle used to be the the mausoleum of Emperor Hadrian. Later on it became a Papal fortress and then a prison. Form the top you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the city.

Your walk will end in St. Peters' Square in the Vatican just on time for the Papal Blessing at 12 a.m. You will hear and see the Pope and feel the real spirit of the Catholic Church.
